It’s been a busy few months for Immortals, and our competitive landscape has shifted dramatically.
Our competitive rosters have been working hard, and are fueled up to compete thanks to our newest partner, Mountain Dew. If you missed our mobile division’s launch, are unsure of where our Dota team stands, or want an update on ANTi or Shroomed, you’re in the right place. The Saga collects everything Immortals and lays it out in one, easy to read place.
Starting with Smash, both ANTi and Shroomed have been on the grind.
ANTi has had a strong streak of success and continues to get better. He attended EGLX 2018 and finished in 7th place. At Full Bloom 4, ANTi earned first place in doubles playing alongside Tyroy. He went on to claim 2nd place at Noods Noods Noods: Oakland Edition. As for Shroomed,he’s known for playing with Tempo | S2J, and together they claimed 3rd place at Full Bloom 4 and 5th place at Genesis 5. At Noods Noods Noods: Oakland Edition Shroomed finished in fifth place.
Both Smash players are looking forward to Get On My Level in Toronto, where they’ll be competing in front of one of the hypest crowds in North America. Be sure to follow not just Immortals, but ANTi and Shroomed on Twitter to keep up to date on their next challenges and tournaments.
Immortals Mobile arrived in March 2018 with Arena of Valor announced as the first game title to field a team. The full roster was announced in April, and the team, led by captain Assassin Dave, began their conquest for the Arena of Valor World Cup.
Two weeks into the Valor Series, and we enjoyed a dominant Week 1 where we swept the field. In Week 2, we made it to the finals, but lost 0-2.
The Week 2 finals loss was an important lesson for the newly formed team. Immortals has one of the strongest rosters around. We’re looking forward to bouncing back in Week 3 of the Valor Series.
Our strong overall performance has earned us 250 points, and we share the top of the ladder.
Shortly after Arena of Valor made its debut, Immortals Mobile welcomed Clash Royale to the family. Immortals is one of eight North American teams to compete in the Clash Royale League.
The roster starts with signing Joshua “ah craaaap” Sharon, and the rest of the spots will be filled via the Clash Royale League Challenge – where everyday players can become Immortals pros.
Immortals Mobile general manager Jeff “SuiJeneris” Chau picked “TrainerLuis” as head coach of the inaugural roster. Both TrainerLuis and ah craaaap repped Immortals at SXSW in March and we’re happy to welcome them back once again.
Our Dota 2 team is competing in their final events before we advance to the International 8 qualifiers this summer. We made it to the finals of the NA Regional Qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham, but fell after a hard fought series with OpTic Gaming. It’s been a long road for us since we first formed our Dota roster, with new players welcomed aboard and changes made to our overall strategy. We’re preparing for a final run at the International as we close out our year in Dota, and we don’t plan on giving up or rolling over any time soon.
