The Saga: October 10th

Did you know that yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving?  That’s exciting, because the #IMTeam has a lot to be thankful for this time of year.  Our League of Legends team is making history on the Worlds stage, battling their way through Group B.  After a tumultuous end of summer, we’re nearly done rebuilding our CS:GO squad.  To top it off, our Smash team attended The Big House 7.  If you missed these awesome games, we’re here to get you back up to speed on everything Immortals with our weekly Saga.  (If you want to stay up to date on games as they’re happening, be sure to follow our calendar and Twitter!)

League of Legends

Here are 6 photos of the most dominant top-laner in Group B. Yeah, we said it.

tl;dr: Immortals go 2-1 in Group B, taking down Fnatic and the GIGABYTE Marines.
Recommended Match: Immortals v GIGABYTE Marines

We made Worlds history this week, securing not one but two victories during our first time at Worlds.  We managed to take down both Fnatic and GAM, and we stood toe to toe with Longzhu.  We’re now resting up for the next round of matches, but we’re gunning to make it out of our Group and to the next stage of competition.  Immortals is also going to be aiming to take down Longzhu the next time we meet, and fulfill Olleh’s goal of winning against them #oncetime.

Tl;dr: Immortals have announced two new members of the CS:GO squad!
Recommended Match: Immortals v Misfits

While we continue to compete in the ESL Pro League, Immortals is rebuilding our roster around Steel and Boltz.  We’ve recently announced that Horvy will be joining the #IMTeam, and we’re also pleased to announce that Destinyy will be joining us as well.  That means there’s just one spot remaining, and we’ll be announcing that shortly.  We still have a long way to go, but we’re already enjoying the Horvy buff, as seen in our recommended match against Misfits.

Tl;dr: ANTi and Shroomed attend The Big House 7; Shroomed finishes 3rd in Doubles along with S2J
Recommended Match: Shroomed & S2J v Colbol & Nintendude

On the climb to the top, there’s always going to be a few hurdles.  The Big House 7 wasn’t the best tournament for our #IMTSmash players.  Shroomed finished 13th in Singles, and ANTi fell out at 49th.  The wise man knows that every loss is a lesson, and consistency is about coming back stronger next time.  Both of our Smash guys will be back on the grind and looking to improve for their next big bout.

If you want to keep up with all things Immortals, why not join our Discord?  Not only do you get to stay up to date with our upcoming matches, but you can chat about them with fellow fans and Immortals staff.  There’s never been a better time to join in on the fun!
